HANARI is operated by WeBring, a company registered in the Republic of Korea. This notice explains what we collect when you join the launch waitlist, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how you can have it removed. It covers only this website — we do not yet sell products or operate accounts.
1. Who is responsible
WeBring is the Data Fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the personal information controller under Korea's Personal Information Protection Act.
WeBring · Business registration 742-81-02381 · 8, Gangnam-daero 53-gil, Seocho-gu, Seoul (Rm 8-178), Korea.
Data Protection Officer and grievance contact: Cho Mi-young — mycho@webring.kr · +82-70-8027-4391.
2. What we collect
When you join the waitlist we store your email address, the language version of the site you used, the page path you submitted from, and the time at which you gave each of the two consents.
We do not store your name, phone number, IP address, device information, or any browsing history. We ask for nothing beyond an email address.
Loading the page causes your browser to request fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) and jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net). Those services receive your IP address as a technical consequence of serving the files. We do not control what they do with it and we receive nothing from them.
3. Why we collect it
To send you a small number of messages about the HANARI launch in India. That is the only purpose.
We do not profile you, we do not use automated decision-making, and we do not use your address for advertising, analytics, or any other product.
4. The legal basis
We rely on your consent. You give two separate consents: one to our collecting and using your email address, and one to receiving launch messages. They are recorded separately and neither is implied by the other.
You may withdraw either consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect messages already sent, and it is as easy to withdraw as it was to give.
5. How long we keep it
Up to three years from the date you join the waitlist.
We delete your address immediately on request, and in any case once the purpose is exhausted — for example if the India launch is cancelled.
6. Who else handles it
Supabase provides the database that stores the waitlist. Lovable provides the hosting and deployment platform for this website.
We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not transfer it to any third party for their own purposes.
7. Where it is stored, and transfers outside India
If you are in India, your email address leaves India. It is stored on Supabase infrastructure in the AWS Asia Pacific (Tokyo) region — ap-northeast-1, in Japan — and is administered from Korea by WeBring.
So your address rests in Japan and is read from Korea. Both follow from the consent described in section 4; withdraw it and we delete the record, as described in section 5.
We protect the data to the standard described in section 9 wherever it is held.
8. Your rights
You may ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You may withdraw either consent. You may nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
Write to mycho@webring.kr. We respond within 10 days. We do not charge for any of this and we do not require you to explain why.
9. How we protect it
The waitlist table is closed to public access at the database level: no anonymous or signed-in client can read or write it. Entries are written only by a server-side function using a credential that never reaches your browser.
Submissions are accepted only from this site's own pages, and the site is served over HTTPS.
A duplicate sign-up receives exactly the same response as a new one, so nobody can use the form to test whether a given address is on the list.
10. Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and embeds no advertising or social media trackers. Nothing here follows you across other websites.
11. Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted an address, write to us and we will delete it.
12. If you are unhappy with how we handled your data
Please contact our grievance officer first: Cho Mi-young, mycho@webring.kr. We will respond within 10 days.
If you are in India and remain dissatisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
If you are in Korea, you may contact the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee (kopico.go.kr, 1833-6972) or the Privacy Infringement Report Centre (privacy.kisa.or.kr, 118).
13. Changes to this notice
If we change what we collect or why, we will publish the revised notice here and update the date at the top before the change takes effect.
